We want to become more focused, efficient and impact-driven, which is why we need a new structure. This year’s goal is to focus on the core activities of the JES.
Instead of many specialized roles, we are building a team of 6 people, each covering multiple responsibilities. This means broader roles, more ownership, and more impact.

Below is an overview of the key areas we operate in. You will be expected to contribute across several of them.

Core Areas at JES
This list is not exhaustive. Roles and responsibilities may evolve depending on the team and priorities. Formal titles such as Vice President or Secretary General will be assigned internally.

1. Administration & Internal Structure

  • Manage internal organization (meetings, follow-ups, documentation)
  • Take and structure meeting minutes (PV)
  • Maintain shared tools (Drive, Notion, etc.)
  • Ensure clarity and continuity in how the team works

2. Partnerships & Finance

  • Identify and approach potential partners
  • Build and manage sponsorship offers
  • Contribute to financial sustainability and budgeting

3. Events

  • Organize national events
  • Manage logistics, partners and on-site execution
  • Ensure events deliver real value to participants

4. Communication & Visibility

  • Manage JES image and messaging
  • Create and distribute relevant content
  • Support visibility of events, partners and initiatives

5. Legal

  • Support contract drafting (partners, events)
  • Maintain basic legal framework (statutes, compliance)
  • Ensure the association operates on solid foundations

6. International

  • Maintain relationships with JE Europe and JE Global
  • Represent JES in international meetings, events and GAs
  • Share insights and opportunities with the Swiss network
  • Support the positioning of JES at the European level

You will not be assigned to a single area.
Each member will take ownership of multiple responsibilities depending on priorities and skills.

Profile we are looking for

  • Comfortable working and communicating in English
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Available one evening remotely and one evening in person a week throughout the entire year
  • Takes ownership of a topic, pushes it forward, and delivers tangible outcomes
  • Thinks clearly and structures complexity into simple, workable systems
  • Focused on long-term value rather than short-term activity
  • Reliable and consistent in execution
  • Previous experience within the JE movement
  • Previous experience in sponsorship acquisition, finance, legal, IT, or communication is a plus
